The Commission Tracker within Insights allows users to easily track and calculate commissions earned through the sales teams’ actions.
Creating Commission Types
Companies with many different products, services, and/or revenue streams will find it necessary to have multiple commission types. For this reason, sales commissions within Teamgate are customizable, meaning it can be changed to match the commission structure applicable to each respective deal.
To customize the commission structure, head to Settings > Deals > Sales Commission Settings
To add a commission type, click New, then add a name for the specific commission you are looking to track/calculate, then what percentage(%) should be applied to this commission type. Make sure to click Save when you are done.
Commission Types can be enabled and disabled at will depending on the scenario, and a commission type can be selected as the default for when sales persons go to confirm what commission type applies to the respective deal they are working on.
Choosing the Commission Type
To properly log the commission type that should be applied to a specific deal, it is the salesperson’s responsibility to access the deal they are working on and select the appropriate commission type.
To do this, the user simply navigates to the deal card, clicks Commission Type, and selects the appropriate commission to apply to the deal.
The commission type selected at “Default” in the commission settings will appear at the first option, and all other enabled commission types will appear below it.
