Deal Duplication
Sometimes there are situations where you need to duplicate the same deal with the same client. Common use cases are for renewals of existing/new clients, tracking warranty programs, and more generally any revenue generating post-sale activities. To do this, we highly recommend you taking advantage of Teamgate’s Deal Duplication feature.
Duplicating a deal allows users, upon moving a deal to the “Won” stage, to duplicate all customer and deal information into a separate deal within the current pipeline or another one within the system. This eliminates the need to manually create another deal in instances of recurring business, customer renewals, and many other use cases.
Deal Duplication Settings
To use this feature, it must first be enabled in settings. To do this, navigate to Settings > Deals > Deal Duplication Settings.
Here you will see two options:
1. Display Deal Duplication Option?
This enables the Deal Duplication feature, and gives users (at their own discretion) the ability to choose whether or not to duplicate a deal when it is won.
2. Deal Duplication Option Enabled by Default?
If duplicating the deal is a necessity no matter the scenario, toggling this setting on will make it so that deals are duplicated by default. The user will still have the ability to disable duplication manually in case of one-off scenarios.
Duplicating a Deal
When moving a deal into the won box, given deal duplication has been turned on, there will now be a selection titled “Duplicate Sale?” at the bottom of the deal confirmation pop up that appears. Toggling this on will duplicate the won deal, adding a identical deal to any pipeline of your choosing.
Step-by-step guide
- Move a deal into the won column.
- Input any necessary info.
- Toggle Duplicate Sale “On”.
- Select what pipeline and what stage within the given pipeline you’d like the duplicated deal to be moved to.
- When done, click “CONFIRM”.
Important note: If you have selected Deal Duplication by Default within settings, the option won’t need to be toggled on as depicted in the video above.
